Comment On An Issue
The Commission is very interested in receiving input from the general public. We continually seek input on the state's utility regulatory process, a specific utility regulation or practice, or application for modifying a utility's or telephone company's rates and services. We also want to provide an easy way for citizens to sign up for e-mail alerts about specific issues of personal interest by Subscribing to a Docket.
What to include in a public comment:
- the Docket Number in the subject line of your e-mail or letter,
- the issue(s) you want to bring to the Commission's attention,
- your specific recommendations and thoughts on how we might address those issues,
- the reason for your recommendations and suggestions.
A single, well-reasoned comment may carry more weight than large volumes of form letters that impose significant administrative costs while providing little to no real benefit to the comment and other interested parties. Be sure to submit your written comments before the Public Comment expiration date to ensure entry into the formal record. Comments submitted to individual staff members outside the established public comment administrative process may be delayed and unavailable for timely processing.
Be the First to Know - Sign Up for Updates: Stay informed by Subscribing to a Docket and have documents of interest delivered directly to your emailbox. Want to watch the progress of a project, find out when the next meeting is scheduled for a particular docket/project, Subscribe to the Docket and be the first to know.
Microsoft Outlook users can Submit Your Comment below by selecting the comment date or Non-Microsoft Outlook users can e-mail comments to PublicComments.Puc@state.mn.us. Comments received by the Public Comment end date will be batch-eFiled into the formal docket by the Commission for public viewing on a weekly basis.
