Comment On An Issue

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (Commission) invites input from the general public on the state's utility regulatory process, a specific utility regulation or practice, or application for modifying a utility's or telephone company's rates and services. We also want to provide an easy way for citizens to sign up for e-mail alerts by Subscribing to a Docket to receive instant notification whenever new documents are eFiled into a record.

Making a Public Comment

2. Select the appropriate 'Notice' link below to review the issue(s) on which we are seeking public input
3. Review Tips on How to Prepare Effective Public Comments  
4. Please include the folllowing  in your comment:
5. 1. Identify yourself and your relation to the docket
   2. Specify the issues that concern you most
   3. Please share any knowledge you have regarding this matter
   4. Propose a different solution or recommend no change

Comment Period

The Commission considers comments received during the official comment period. Comment Periods close at 4:30pm CST.  Comments received before or after a public comment period opens or closes are not considered part of the official record.  Comments submitted directly to individual staff members or Commissioners during or outside the established public comment period or submitted with no docket number indicated may be delayed and unavailable for timely processing.

Important: Comments are made publicly available and posted to the Commission's website, except in limited circumstances consistent with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. Please be careful with any information you do not want others to see; the Commission does not edit or delete personally identifying information from submissions.
